Default 2001 C320 SERVICE A

I DID SEVICE A NOW I AM TRYING TO GET THE SERVICE A EXCEEDED 300 MILES OFF.
I DID EVERY THING LIKE THE BOOK SAID AND GOT IT TO 0 , BUT I STILL HAVE THE SRVICE A.
NOW I MIGHT HAVE MESS UP AND I SET IT TO FACTORY RESET.
IN THE BOOK IT SAY DO YOU WANT TO RESET TO SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BY PRESSING R (RESET) I HAVE YET TO GET TO THAT PART.TRIP ODOMETER IS AT 0.

ANY HELP.

close doors and hood. turn key to position 2, use the menu buttons on steering wheel to get to the main display, the one that shows the mileage and odometer. push and hold the reset button on the left until it states "service interval reset, push reset button to confirm". let go of that button you were holding down, then push it again and hold it until it beeps.
this wont work if your door is open

I have a 2004 CLK 320 and after a oil change I reset the service interval but now it shows Service B due at 10K. Why did this happen and can I reset to the normal Service A?

I have tried everything and still nothing.
