Default 2001 c320 battery drain

I HAVE A VERY BIG PROBLEM. I HAVE A 2001 C320 WITH 36000 MILES ON IT. IF I DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR FOR 2 DAYS THE BATTERY DIES OUT. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. SOME OTHER PROBLEMS THAT THE CAR HAS IS THAT THE RADIO GOES ON BUT NO SOUND COMES OUT, CAN THAT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CARS CD CHANGER BEING REMOVED FROM THE GLOVE BOX?? ALSO I GET A NOTICE THAT SAYS CHECK COOLANT LEVEL BUT THE CAR DOES NOT HEAT UP OR ANYTHING, AND THE COOLANT LEVEL IS FINE, I HAD IT CHECKED. LAST PROBLEM IS THAT THE SRS LIGHT GOES ON SOME DAYS. SOMEDAYS IT DOES NOT. SOMEONE PLEASE HELp!!!!! THE CAR HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE DEALER, THEY EVEN CHANGED THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE CAR. I DO NOT WANT TO KEEP WASTING MY TIME AND MONEY. PLEASE SOME INSIGHT. THANK YOU!

A funky voltage or current can cause unpredictable electrical problems. Assuming you'd be notified of a charging system fault, I'd say you may have a bad battery. Take it to a battery store and get it checked out. Better yet, if you have a battery you can swap in for a test, do that.

I have a slightly simialr problems with 1989 300SE. I just replaced the battery with a new one thinking that it is the old battery but after driving it for 30 miles with the lights on, it died on me again. Weak battery. Before I replace the Alternator, is there any other parts that could be causing it not to charge.

Any advice is appreciated

Max

Forgive for asking and just to give a clue what to do... how do you check if the alternator is bad?

to check to see if it is the alternator, start up the car , and disconnect the battery, if the car has powere, (lights go on, radio goes on) then the alternator is good.

Okay, so what else did you check already so we don't play these stupid "I already checked that" games?

My new battery 3 months old was drained once. I did a jump start. Is this battery not reliable anymore? Also you can check the post with title "c230 battery problem". Sleepwalker explained how to find if some system is draining the battery during sleep mode.

I would no longer trust a battery that has drained completely, unless it's a deep-cycle battery.
