Default 2001 C240 Seat Control Module

New to the forum. Really liked the answers on this site so had to register. I just got this car used with 68000 miles on it a week ago. It seems that if my car sits for more than 8 hours, the battery gets drained. Had to have it towed to the dealer and they came to the conclusion that the passengers side seat control module is NOT going into sleep mode hence draining the battery at night. The MB dealer says this is going to be a $1000 repair after labor and parts etc. I have also read that if I disconnect this portion, the battery doesn't drain. Is that true and is it simple to disconnect. Also how long would it be able to go like this? Really appreciate the help!
