Bear with me I'm completely new to here

I have a Mercedes C180K which is a 52-Reg. I do not have the green/red light mirror - mine is just a basic one with an adjustable notch under it.

My key fob (including my spare one) will not work central locking/unlocking. It is the 2-button triangular-looking one with emergency key part. The tip doe not have red (in case that makes any difference).

I have to gain access to the car using the emergency key. When I gain access no lights flash and the alarm does NOT come on.

The fob inserts into the ignition fine, and the car can start without any problems.

What I have done so far:

• Tried loads of different "key re-sync" methods, none of which work
• Checked the red LED light flashes on my fob - it does
• Checked for the white flash under a digital camera - it does
• Replaced the batteries (just in case)
• Tried both my fobs - neither work
• Tried holding the fob at driver door handle receiver AND windscreen receiver - nothing

I rung up Mercedes and a very knowledgable man told me how to re-sync it, but it was only based for the green light/red light mirror one.

Can someone please tell me the re-sync procedure for my car and year?
