Ok I have a 1999 C230 new wires, plugs and coils. Some times it starts right up. There are times that I crank it and it stays in the cranking postion trying to start the car with out throwing the key to the on position. It is like it gets stuck and then acts like it wants to crank but doesn't. My service guy told me that it sounds like a bad ignition linked with the security. If someone knows what this might be and or if this is what it is please let me know.

I really need some feed back on this if anyone can help. I am an ex-mechanic but not certian what this is. I also think it's something to do with the ignition.
