RE: 1998 C230 problems
what msg do u have?
the maf sensor is in the intake air pipe at the end of the accordion looking tube with the wire connector. unlatch the silver clips, unscrew the hose clamp and gently push the accordion tube straight in, do not flex it upwards as the other end can pop out of it's seat.
clean it with non-residue electrical cleaner only by spraying it directly onto the wires in the airstream. do not touch the wires...

Other 1998 C230 electrical problems
Hello,
I'm new to this forum. My wife's C230 is acting up. For the past 6 months, when I start the car (mostly in the morning), the SRS light does not come up, the wipers, the driver power seat adjustments and the turn signals don't function. The car runs however, and everything else functions (radio, headlights, A/C etc...). After driving the car for 5 to 10 minutes, the SRS light will light up momentarily and all the wipers, seat signal indicators will work again.
Can someone who is familiar with the electrical schematic point to the problem? It seems to be localized to a particular cable or something.
Thanks
