I have a 1997 C280 and the windshiled wiper only works on the intermitent setting. When I switch to a faster speed, the wiper just stops. Any Ideas?

My 1995 C280 did that. The guides need to be lubed as the rollers are getting suck.

the are at the base of the wiper arm. I had my dealer do this as there things in there that could come out of place and you will not know how to put them back.

 

Fair enough I was just hoping to not have to spend too much money on this and do it myself.

If that doesn't work, it could also possibly be the wiper relay.

I lubed the arms last night with no luck. Can anyone point me to the location of the relay? Is there a way to test it before buying a new one?

I dont know where it is at but the way i test relays is if there is the one doing a different job example foglights or something like that i just switch them and see if it solves the problem or creates a new one for the foglights. I know it seems crude but it has saved me b4.
