I know that this has been covered many times in the forums before but I could not find the answer I was looking for. My rear headrest are locked in the upright position and the dash button does not let them go down. My vacuum pump in the truck runs for a minute after I turn the car off. I know all this means I have a broken vacuum line somewhere that is not letting them go down. I looked under the hood and found that there is a grey line that is disconnected from the distributer and it is the line I believe that controls the headrest. (It is the one that runs under the manifold and through the firewall.) The problem I am having is two things really; one, the connector seems to have broken off the line and two, that the line does not seem long enough now. If someone knows the part number for those connectors I would greatly appreciate it also if anyone has any ideas on how to fix the line I would appreciate it as well. The connector's head is broken off but the part that connects the head to the line is still inside it. I am thinking I will need to cut it and then splice it but I thought I would ask. Thank you in advance. Also, I have owned the car for about 5 years now and I have done a lot of repairs on it myself so if anyone has any questions I can see if I can help them as well.
