I took my car in a couple days ago after it was not running right. I needed a jump pretty much every time I started and my lights were flickering, windows slow, ect ect. Also my hazard lights were not working.
Mechanic told me I needed a new alternator so i told him to do it. I went to pick it up and he told me $900!
The receipt is as follows:
PARTS:
1x Alternator (010-154-55-02) -- $586
1x Switch (124-820-01-10) -- 19.50
2x Quarts Oil -- 9.00
Total: 614.50
LABOR:
Check charging system / Load test battery -- 49.00
Hazzard light not working replace switch -- n/c
Replace Alternator -- 196.00
Total: 245
Parts: 614.50
Labor: 245.00
Shop Supplies -- 5.00
Tax -- 30.73
Total -- 900.23
------------
I think he over charged me for the alternator... what do you think?
