I can tell you about my 1991, 190E, 2.3.

Very reliableand good looking.

I have put about 40K miles after I bought it used 3
years ago.Just maintain it properly and it will never
let you down.

Tips:

Alwaysuse the recommended fuel....Premium quality only
Regular oil change.........................No need for synthetic

Very easy to get the parts online here in the US and they
are not expensive.

Restdepends on how you drive it.

So this week end i am going to test drive that car and i want to know what should i look out for...

The 190e 2.3L is a reliable car when maintained properly.

Obviouly any engine noise from any car, but you also want to check for the following:

-vacuum leaks
-when and how the transmission shifts
-condition of the suspension
-rust around the fender arches and jack holes
-fluids leaking


How many miles on it?

 

well i could not tell what's the mile on it because thewindow tint is too dark, also he is asking for $1,900 i'll try to get some pics of that car...

 

Update...

So today i decided to take a look at the car and he was inrush to go some where so i did not get to test drive...

the good
inteiror was ok except that 3 in slash on the head rest
shock seem to hold up good
looks likeit has anew muffler on it
engine idle smooth but it's its idle is high around 1.5k (i dont think that car has an high idle warm up)
tire is good so as the rim
car goes into drive and reverse smooth (i guess its the high idle that made it smooth)
Milage 168,000

now the BAD

Engine stardles when rev (the car engine was cold)
Engine shakes when rev (bad mounts)
no radio
i smell some gas (could not tell) could be a bad cataylic converter
NO A/C!!!

And i dont knows
(Tested when the car was cold)
the heat works but only when i push windshield defrost, doseit take some time to get it going if you want it to be on the vents, because my 300SD dose the same thing when the engine is cold...

asking price is $1900 O.B.O

i ll go again tomorrow to test it out
