I need an advice regarding installation of a new ecu or ME-SFI unit to a c230 kompressor.I did bought a c230 without the ecu module , I did bought a used ecu module from ebay and found that this can't be reprogrammed or reused in my c230 coupe. I have DAS and xentry diagnostics ,my fellow tech told me once the ecu or ME-sfi has been used to another car there's no way you can re programmed or re flashed them to be used in my car and the car won't start .The only way to do is purchased a new ecu to the dealer and give the VIN of the car.I really want to know if the ecu can be re- used or reprogrammed in this kind of model or there is a software for me that I can reprogram the ecu.Just unlike the old times that you can just transfer ecu from one car to another.
