Default 2010 B Class "Clunk"

Hi all,
I hope you can help me, my wifes 2010 B Class 1.5 petrol has developed a "clunk" when you let the clutch out and the drive engages, it also does it when changing gear at speed and letting the clutch out quickly. I'm hazzarding a guess that it could be the gearbox/engine rear mounting but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any ideas/suggestions that could take me to root cause please?

Hello and welcome to the forum! This is a bit of a difficult one to diagnose without really getting inside. Is it just a sound or does it hinder the car performing? How old is the clutch kit itself?

Thanks for replying Pelican. The performance and clutch appear to be fine, no slipping or obvious links to it being the cause. It strikes me as a worn mount or something similar but I just don't understand these cars. When you let the clutch out and accelerate the clunk is pronounced, however, if I let the clutch out and accelerate softly it doesn't happen?
