What size tool is needed to remove the oil filter housing? Socket/Hex?

 

You can get these at most auto parts stores. Do not buy the plastic ones, only buy the stamped steel ones. If yours has a hex on top, use a large socket. If not, then buy the steel cap and I have no idea how they are sized, but test one and see if it fits.

 

You should bring it to the garage if you don't want to have assembly errors
