Do I really have to go to MB for My oil filter socket???

I have two oil filter strap wrenches. You know, the type that slip over the end of a regular metal can filter. every auto parts store sells them. The one that works on the smaller diameter filters worked fine for removing the MB slip in cartridge. After installing your new one, tighten it by hand only and check for pressure leaks after you are done. You can use the strap wrench to CAREFULLY snug the cap if it is not quite tight enough. Again, be careful. Hope this helps.
