we are a small transmission shop in mo. and we had a 1997 C280 brought to us to replace the shifter the other shop that had it took the battery loose. we can not figure out how to resest the car system so it will start. it also says on the back of it AMG if that matters. please help

 

the AMG on that car means nothing. it was just put on there. so the new shifter is in the car? the cable that you screw in the front of the shifter might not be correctly seated. also make sure your plugs are connected. does the car crank? maybe the shifter linkage is not correct.
