sl55 or sl65 or other AMG on road course
I am seeking comments from anyone who has taken their Mercedes SL55, SL65, SL500, SL600, CL AMG, S AMG, etc. around a road course.
How does it feel compared to others you have driven? Times compared to other cars? Problems if any?
For some reason I lust after the SL65, but I am also a track junkie (well hillclimbs actually).
With any luck this will only post once instead of 9 times.

Haven't been to a road course yet, but it was fun at the drag strip. Even with an ice cold track (47 F) the car went 8.1 at 92 in the 1/8th.
I'm hoping for an open track day soon so I can see if it handles as well there as it does in the hills.

i have raced the slr sl55 sl65 and slk55 on the road course at homestead. slr is a race car with unlimited hp incredible brakes.
sl55 is great sl65 is faster but can't put the power down. slk55 will slide rear if you donot behave nicely! overall th slr rules and there is nothing else like it! slk55 has the best balance on short autocross and can be placed with the most precision. buy a used sl65 for under 100k with low miles and you can't go wrong.
