I'm brand new to the forum, hello. I just purchased a 2003 S55 AMG. I wanted to add a little HP for an affordable price. I just purchased two K&N air filters, obviously because the car has two air filters instead of one. Any other mods for a small price that you would recommend that will bump up the HP a bit? I saw Kleeman has a staged kit as does Rentech etc, upgrading the ECU and pulleys, but asking about 5K. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch...

 

Tser - you could go for onlya a flash upgrade - without hardware changes. Neuspeed and their dealers can in fact help you out with a flash from OptiCan.net This flash upgrade will give you about 25hp and about 30nm more. The cost will not be to high - in Europe this would cost about 1500 usd.

 

Put the K & N airfilters in and the car really came to life. Very easy to do, only 6 hex bolts on each side to lift up the airfilter cover. You wouldn't believe how much crap was in there, ie... leaves, dirt, etc... After cleaning out the airfilter bay and installing them, I actually feel a difference. I'm going to dyno the car to make sure. The car has sounds more throaty as well. Good cheap mod!

 

Wow 493 hp and you are looking for more power? What did you drive before this car a jet?
