I asked this over in the class E page, but there is a '99 E55 with 92K miles for $18K. Is this a lot of miles for this car and is it worth the price? I would think it is a good price, a lot more miles than I want, but not bad for the $$$. what can you all tell me since I don't know much about them.

 

Well that's around 13K to 15K a year if you divide the mileage up over the years since 99. (either 6 years or 7 years depending on how you look at it.) That is about average mileage per year. A car that's six or seven years old on average will be pushing 100K around this point if it is a daily driver or used for long trips. And for 18K, that's a bargain if you are not just buying some shiny polished junk. It's hard to find a regular E-class V-8 for that price or under with 92K or less. Me personally I would look into it but to me mileage doesn't mean too much. It's how well the car was cared for that matters. Miles just mean more history to look for. (I've seen cars with 15K on the odometer that was poor condition mechanically because of bad maintainence.
