Default Hill Holding

I have a new CLK63 which does not hold hills. By that I mean that when it's pointing up a slope in Drive (Sport or Comfort) at idle, it rolls backwards. Anyone else having this experience? I spoke with the foreman at my local dealer and he said that it was "probably normal"...

Yes - that's true. My E63 rolls back. I don't know why MB doesn't address this. Even when I drove a stick shift, I never rolled back as much. And I live in hilly Seattle....

not sure but some of the Benzs have a hold feature and you activate it by pushing the brake pedal all the way to the floor then release and it should hold until you apply the gas. but the AMGs might not have it , cause i do know that some cars had that last year in production and there should be something in your manual if it does have it.
