Default W-126 interior wood repair

Hi, anyone know if the wood trim surrounding the shifter can be repaired or replaced? 1986 420 SEL, I can't seem to find good used wood. Please advise.

The wood around the shifter can be replaced. If you get a used one. It is VERY important that you make sure all the clips for the wood are in place or else it wont go one right and once those clips break, the wood is useless. If you buy a new one at the dealer, they will charge a lot I got a quote of $290 just for the wood w/ no switches! So I kept my old one and let it be!

Scrap the finding the wood replacement idea..it's a pain and expensive. Go to the benzbin online and order a roll of vinyl wood in burlwood or zebron or whatever you want..I know..vinyl..ewwww..but belive it or not, the stuff I got looks like real wood, no one knows but me, and after practicing for a little bit I found it easy to use and cut, you just stick it on and I even traced a template for aorund the speedometer/instrument cluster and it looks great. Try it. It's only 12.50 a roll.
