I have 1995 S500 coupe AMG Beautiful car. I need the wood grain veneer for the steering wheel. I would hate to spend $500.00+ to replace the steering wheel not to mention labor to do this when all it needs is the wood grain veneer HELP !!!

 

There are several companies that specialize in restoring MB steering wheels. They are listed in the MBCA magazine The Star. If you are not a member you should join. Beside the mag I get a 20% discount on parts at two dealers, and 15% at another. No discount on labor.

To All DIY's, you all should consider membership, it is now expensive, I usually join for 2 years at a time. I have already made that back with a couple of oil filters and wiper inserts I bought.

Allen I have been with those guys a week and I still cannot find what I am looking for. they are a nice bunch of guys but I was hoping to find an avenue to find that veneer I was looking for. I will look thru the Mercedes STAR magazine and get some name of companies that do this work. Are you mechanically inclinded enough to remove the steering wheel, with a airbag?
