My SIL just got his Dad's 2016 GLC 300 from Pennsylvania where no front plate required. Here in VA, it is. I've seen a couple of videos on installing the front plate but not for this model. We hope we can install the bracket below the area where the videos show. However, we notice that there is bar behind on either side of center that moves up and down and are unsure whether we should be drilling into it. Can you direct to the right forum and/or a video for this model. If all else fails, he will visit a Mercedes dealer.

Don't drill into anything that moves that's likely part of the active safety system (radar/sensors). Check if Mercedes sells an OEM bracket for that model that mounts without drilling, or just take it to a dealer. Messing with the front sensors can cause expensive problems. Not worth DIYing if you're unsure.
