Default Wrong octane + check engine = rough (shaky) idle C230

My girlfriend has a C230 Kmopressor and used the wrong octane for awhile. We were going on a little road trip a few months ago and when we came to a stop in LA traffic I noticed the car had a shaky idle and would almost shut off. After going a little further the Engine light came on. I asked her what octane she used and she said 87, not 91!! She had a full tank. She just filled the tank with 91 but the car still has a rough idle. Could the problem just be the gas?Andwill require a few fill ups of 91? Please Help! I dont want totake it to the dealership and be rear ended!!!

The gas is definatly an issue here. ALways use the highst octaine in these cars. Im not 100% sure on this but maybe if you just use the whole tank the light might come off. If not then you might have to drop the tank. AGAIN IM NOT 100% SURE. Im just listing possibilities.
