Did you have any luck with this? It seems similar to my problem with 92 600SEL.

 

there has been a service measure on this wiring harness for your car.

if you will order the kit, you will get:

a few loops of or wires
a pin releasing tool
a wiring diagram paper with full instruction on how to do it.

the part is very cheap, so go and get it.
