Hi, My name is Jan and I am new here. I just bought my first Mercedes Benz off my sister in laws, father's estate. Its' a 1999 Mercedes Benz C280. It only has 36,000 orginal miles on it.

He never went anywhere in it and it was always garaged. I bought it last week, it's a beauty. So before I headed to the gas station. I was trying to figure out where the fuel door switch is. Can anyone help me out with this? The owners manual got lost in the estate.

push in the side and the door will open. i never really understood why they make benzes like that.

 

OMG thanks so much. I just didn't want to take it for gas and not know how to open it. I tried pulling it open, looking for switches, different positions with the key. I even eeasked a neighbor with a BMW that used to have a Mercedes and they didn't know either. I can actually drive it today, since I can put gas in it. If your a Veteran.
