Default Water leak into the ducting; 1972 350SL

Water is getting into the ducting (heating/AC). It spills over mostly on the passenger side during more agressive corners, but has occasionally splashed out on the drivers side also. I can find no evidence of a leak anywhere else in the body or roof. It shows up when the car is caught in rain, so I'm guessing that I need to focus on the air-intakes just in front of the windshield.

Can anyone offer insight or experience on replacing the seals in the intakes? Any other source of ingress I might have missed?

Other than this, the car is in excellent shape, and recent replacement of the carpeting showed no floor pan rust. I'm putting it down to rarely being caught in the car in the rain. It's a "sunny afternoon" driver which spends off time in the garage.

Help will be gratefully received.

Jim
