Default Warm air, but no fan...

Hello,

I have a 1991 300 SEL. I live in MN where it starts to get cold around this time of the year. My problem is that my defroster and heat vents feel warm to the touch after the engine has warmed up, but they are not blowing air like they are supposed to.

I am wondering if anyone could tell me where the fan (s) are located and how I might access them and repair or replace them.

Thanks very much.

I believe you get to the fan from the passenger foot well. If I recall, it is simple to drop out and inspect. It's been a while since I had to mess with the heater on a 126.

Check your fuses with a voltmeter, on the fuse box terminal strips, both sides of the hvac fuses. Many times, the fuses corrode and do not make a good connection with the fuse holder.

Default Thanks Fred

I appreciate your taking the time to send along a suggestion.

My apologies for not thanking you earlier. My home furnace went out right after I started messing around with the car problem. When it rains, it pours.

Anyway, back on the car situation now.

I looked at fuses and they were all sound. I cleaned the small one for the heater per your recommendation but I still have no fan blowing.

I am now going to see if I can find the blower itself.

Thanks again for the help.
