w216 cl500 -does ABC improve steering stifness?
Hello guys,
I reposted this here since on cl forum i didn't get any answer.
I want to buy a 2007-2008 cl 500 w216 to replace my current 2005 cls 350. So far i've narrowed my search down to 2 cars. One has abc system and the other has*airmatic.
One thing that i've noticed driving both is that the steering in the car that had abc was way smoother ( you could turn the steering wheel very easy). The car with*airmatic*had a very stiff steering, even stiffer than my cls. Both cars have 20" rims.
So my question is: do w216 with*airmatic*have stiffer steering than the abc models ? Or do you think the stiffness was caused by a mechanical fault ?*
I like to drive sporty but a rigid car with stiff steering is not for me. I think that my cls w219 with no aimatic or abc does a good job on a comfort-sport compromise.
please leave your feedback.
thank you!
