W203 Passenger Central Locking
Hi,
Looking for some help guys, W203 passengers side central locking button bounces up and down each time the car is locked or unlocked using keyfob. MB says its the "latch" even though they haven't seen it and want an arm leg to repair. I've managed to locate the the screws on the door panel so Ishould be able to remove that.
What would be great if anyone has any tech info on how to do this thisrepair and any phots of the parts making up the central locking in the passenger door.
Cheers
Del

RE: W203 Passenger Central Locking
Hi Del,
Very common problem on most of the Mercedes Range. You will require an entire door lock, im afraid there is no repair method. It can also be quite tricky to do yourself.
You will have to remove the door card; there is a couple of Torx 30 screws, 1 behind the SRS plastic cover, and another behind a plastic trim under the inner door handle. You will need to remove the tweeter also!
Then pull on the door card around the edges, and lift it up over the window seal to remove- remove all plugs etc from the card!
Then you will be able to see whats inside. You may need to remove your window runner to remove the door lock as there isn't a lot of space!
Hope this helps,
Rob
