I have a 97 s420 that does not run. It starts to run then shuts off. Possible that the fuel pump is shutting off after it starts. can anyone help? Where is the fuel pump?

 

The fuel pump is under the car in the back, near the rear axle, but before you try anything else, try locking and unlocking the car with your remote key. The fuel pump shut offf part of the alarm system may be activated. Locking and unlocking will reset the system if that is the problem. Good luck.

 

i checked the fuel pressure and it is steady at 50 to 60 psi,i used the key to disarm the factory theft system,it trys to start when you crank but will not catch.I tried spraying a little ether in the air filter and it will run on that.I really dont know what else to check,something it not letting it stay running,i am at my whits end with this car!
