Hi All,

I have a '99 ML430 that has a strange behavior going on with the tach. When you power the car or start the car on the tach twitches for several seconds below 0 and then settles. It makes a clicking sound like it's bumping against the stopping pin at the bottom of the guage. It stops when the fuel and other guages start to read.

Then when you shut the car off, the tach does it again. Twitches and taps against the stopping pin below the 0 rmp mark.

Has anyone seen this? Any idea on a fix?
