2 Issues here w/ 02 CLK430...any help would greatly be appreciated!

1) Trunk continuously pops open on own - no idea here why?

2)Red SOS button on the ceiling panel shows that an SOS call has been made and is attempting to connect, and also mutes the radio console. I know this is an error, as no connection is ever made because I don't subscribe to the service. Any idea how to shut this off?
