Hello All:
I am pretty confused about the correct oil for my transmission. I plan to do a partial drain-fill and was wondering which oil is correct.

There seems to be some variation in oils. 236.1, 236.2, etc.

Here are the specs.

2000 E320 4Matic
Built in plant 61 (?where is this?)
722664 11 612152 transmission
option 423 5 speed automatic transmission /nag (c.01.01.1996)
last digits of VIn X027962
Delivered 07.14.1999

I have some M-B 236.10 but am concerned about compatibility with the existing fluid.

I did search but found various opinions and more confused then ever.
