Default Transmission Hoses

I'm replacing the leaky radiator in my 1989 300SEL and I have a question.
Whenscrewing in the transmission fluid lines to the radiator, do I use any type of thread dressing or do they go in dry? If I need to dress the threads, what doyou suggest I use?
Thanks for the help.

you can just go in dry, ive never had any trouble removing one. im sure some dressing wouldnt hurt.

Anytime I put a hose onto a metal nipple I slap a whee bit of either grease or oil onto the metal nipple.
Just a bit is all. Don't go wild

It makes for sliding it in much easier.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the information. Just wanted to make sure I didn't make a simple, but costly mistake.
