Default Tire Pressure System

My SL500 is a 2005 model with 24K miles and is has been in the shop 3 times with defective tire pressure system. After the last visit and continuing issue I just ignore the malfuntion warning.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so what has Merecedes Benz done for you to resolve the issue, in or out of warranty?
Thanks.

the TPM system in the earlier benzes sucked. first thing to know is the pressure in the tires high enough.....over the specified pressure that is programmed into the car? this value can be changed at the dealership so the car is only looking for 32psi vs. 38psi. if the tire pressure goes below that value the light will come on. so the dealer should have checked that. also the battery life in the tire pressure sensors can be weak or damaged and that will cause the light to come on too. also common problem is the tpm comtrol unit just is bad. the tire pressure monitor sensors can be looked at with SDS system to see the battery life and frequency # and which postion on the car it is.
