I have a couple of questions reguarding my 97 SL 500. Is there any way to disable the ASR? Also is there any performance software available that I can purchase and insall myself and/or have my local performance shop install ? I see a lot out there for newer models but not mine. My shop wants me to purchase the software and they want to install it. I am having some mods done and they need to adjust air,fuel,& timing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

there should be a switch for the ASR, and there ar ehips that u can put on it. you just send your ECU to the company and they send it back with the chip installed. ask K1(a sponsor) about it.

 

Thanks for your reply, but I was told that even though I press the ASR button the traction control will still partially engage. Is this true? Also I am looking for a software program that I can install myself . Thanks
