Default Switch from F to ºC?

I just bought a '94 C280 manufactured for USA and returned to Europe in 2002. Of course, the temperature gauges (LED in-dash and LCD on the A/C display) are showing temps in Fahrenheit. Question: is there a way of converting those to Celsius? Can a local MB dealer access some software and do the switch for me?

Thanks.

I have a 1993 600 Mercedes. Our car was imported from Germany to USA, but the local MB dealer verified that all of the MB cars manufactured are optional exportable to all countries that accept MB imports. The EPA inspection indicated our car could be shipped and sold to all nations, including USA. I do know that certain features are different for USA market cars only (interior door braces, etc). Our car has a C and F button on the A/C controls that the user can switch between European Metric and non-metric indications. I have seen pictures of early 1990s and 1995 S500s that have the same dash and A/C panel as our car. Maybe the MB 200/300 series of these years do not have the C/F switch, unsure.
Thanks.

I would think it is covered in the manual or by your service advisor

Not sure. 94 is quite a way back.
I would think it is software switchable if the C or F is in LCD or similar display. If its hard painted onto the graphics mask it is a new cluster job.
Suggest best bet is to confirm with the dealer and if it can be changed using STAR diagnostics or whatever I would also ask "How Much"...Ensure you are you sitting comfortably...It might be less painful to learn metric!!

Hello,

Does anybody know if it's possible to change the OUTDOOR TEMP. INDICATION from F to C in a SL-320 (R129) from 1995?

If you find out, let us know, I need to do the same on my car's outside temp digital display, which is in dash panel where speedometer is. Mine shows only centigrade and I can not figure out how to change it..
