I recently bought a very well taken care of 1989 190E. The only problem with the car is that the drivers front suspension rattles when going over bumps.The noiseseems to decrease after the car has been driven for several miles, or if it's a warm day out. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!</P>

It would be pretty difficult to say without getting the car on a lift and giving everything a shake.

 

I just thought there might be some known problem areas... what it initially sounded like to me was a 'loose shock'. Or maybe a missing bushing... I haven't been under this car yet, so I really don't know anything about the suspension to be throwing out guesses. If anyone has had a similar experience, please speak up. Thanks!</P>
