Default Start problem

Hmm, I dont know what to say. First it was some sort of trouble with ASR system. Now everything is working perfect exept the one thing. When the temperature is at least -4 C , and +4 C everything is OK. But when the temperature is about 0 C the car wont start. Nothing can bring the car to run. Anny sugestion ? I thought that the part that cost 1500 EUR is wrong but since everything is OK at the temperature ( -4 till +4 ) I dont know .

cold start enrichment problem?

does the cold start valve injects fuel when starting cold? you can pull it out and observe. it operates at temp <30 deg. celcius.

I dont know. It is strange that the engine run always when the temperature is below zero and more than ca 4 + C. Mystery or very strange problem. When it does than everything work perfect. I did have some trouble with ASR before but not anymore. Everything is perfect exept the start at 0 C ( +, - 5 C ) . I will test tomoroow the cold start . Strange is like I said that everuting work great but from time to time nothing happend. If some part is wrong it can not be OK next time....or

And one thing more, when I start the engine in the morning , it runs for about 3-5 minutes and then it dies. Another trying helps not. But if I drive the car at once without tutning off .... it works perfect . Then when I park the car and come back again I just pray that the temperature is minus 3 - 4 or more C.

it's difficult without seeing how the engine behaves.

CIS-E needs lots of actual values to consider.

you may start by observing if the fuel pressure drops.

Hi Sleepwalker,
as i said the car is working very good when the temperture is minus 4,5 and more degrees. Below that temperature nothing happent. It is some sensor ( i think ) but dont know witch. There is some cable on the top brtween the engine and gear box. Somebody told me that this part can be bad. Is it possible some cinde of condensation. One day i love my car.....another i hate it.It is something with temperature sensor. But what. When the engine starts, everything work perfect.I mean everything.I drive this car from 1999 ( 300 000 km ) and this is the first problem u can not solve.

it's for the crankshaft position sensor which is also one of the possible cause.

will disconnecting the temperature sensor to the CIS-E control unit eliminates the problem?

seems the car is running lean. the idle speed switch is fine?

B11/2

attach a 7500 ohms resistor to it in order to simulate -5 degrees temp.
