Default SRS Sensor Passenger Seat

Hey Folks - New to the site.
I have a 99 E320 4-Matic. I'm having trouble with my passenger sensor that shuts off the airbag automatically. If someone is 40lbs or less it will automatically shut off. It's doing it for everyone.

Any ideas? Do I take it to a dealer? Will they fix this type of problem for free?

It is shutting off. The airbag off light activates. I need to ask for a new sensor mat. Does anyone have schematics on how to replace it? Or is this something I should take to the dealer since it's airbag related?

Thanks for your responses.

have to pull out the seat and strip the seat cover to change it.

might also need Star Diagnosis to delete the fault code.

take it to the dealer.

Default Air bag sensor

I have a 2015 C300 4 matic.Recently the warning light came on about the front passenger air bag needed service. I brought it to my mechanic. He said it was a sensor located under the front bumper. He thinks it was caused by a parking lot cement barrier. I had it fixed. A week later same problem recurred. I know I parked up to one of those barriers. I never had this problem before. I have had this car for 5 years. Never a problem before. Is this a problem for others?
