My 190E 2.6 (1991) is running very sluggish since the last tune up. A mechanic (not the one who did the tune up) tells me there is no insulation around the spark plug wires (which were replaced as part of the tune up). I was told the boots/insulators are sold separately (they don't come with the set of spark plug wires). Looking at parts for my car, I have found "ignition wire connectors" and "ignition wire dust boots" (which seem to be for the connectors). All this is very confusing to me. They are all sold separately (not ins sets of 4 or 6)[sm=smiley24.gif][sm=smiley24.gif][sm=smiley24.gif]. Can someone tell me what exactly it is I need to buy? Was the mechanic supposed to take off the old ones and attach them to the new wires?
