Is there a special tool or way to remove air filter assembly.I would like to replace it with a K&N.Thanks.

 

From the posts I have read, in general MB cars MAF sensors and intake airmetering do not like K&N filters, as it is too easy to over/under oil the filters, which in turn inserts problems with the factory intake air flow sensing. Nominal air flow/horsepower gain anyway. I have tried on my corvettes, thunderbirds and MB car, and afterless than one year of use of these air filters,the mainteance and cost of the filters steered me to revert back to usingstandard air filters on each of these cars. Thanks.
