hi all , i have a 1998 230 slk, i bought it for my wife and on the way home from the auction it cut out, id driven it about 20 miles with no problems at all, then as i was approaching a set of lights the rev counter went to zero then the car cut out, it would not start at all, so i pushed it off the road and rang the AA, after an hour of waiting i thought id try to start it , to my suprise it started but i waited for the recovery lorry just incase, good job i did cause after a further mile it cut out again, it turns over and over but does not fire, as if its out of petrol, when we arrived at my local garage it even started and drove off the lorry, any ideas as to what could be causing this to happen, thanks for any info or advice.
