Service C
I am a new Mercedes owner and was shocked at the cost of Service B & C! I have a SLK 350 so I drive it mostly in the summer months and do not put a lot of miles on the car. The service C message is flashing and I have driven very few miles since my last service visit (Sept. 07). Can I wait to service it until later this year or is that too risky? Should I take it in and just get the oil changed (can I do that at a Mercedes dealer)? Should I go to another vendor for an oil change and if so, which one is best? I live in Chicago so any recommendations would be appreciated.

RE: Service C
Mercedes-Benz service schedules are not only mileage based. They count down on time. It will show a number of days exceeded. If your car isn't used for a period of time then it's probably best to get the service done since oil likes to get thick etc.
Hope this helps
