hey guys, i need some help here. i threw a 2005 mercedes key in the washer now it doesn't register with the car, all the buttons work still i.e. lock, unlock, trunk. can this be reprogrammed? if not how much is it for a new key?

 

if the butto still works, then the key is working...right? the transponder only recognize the resistance in order to start the engine.

about $200 for the new key.
