Default Sat Nav

Hi guys. I have a 2007 E Class 280 Sport. Love LOVE her to bits. I'm thinking of changing the centre console with one that has sat nav. I'm not the most technical chap lol but having looked at a few on eBay it LOOKS like a simple case of plug & play?
However, I'm getting confused where it talks about 'compatible with COMMAND' and a couple of other technical points. My MB hasn't got command ... does it matter?
And they talk about the sound system being optical fibre or not? I don't know!
Also microphone accessories and various other accessories maybe required. I'm a bit lost lol.
Has anyone replaced their console in a 280 sport and can advise of any pros or cons?
Cheers in advance.
Steve.

Hi Steve - I'm attaching a DIY tech article from our site so you can see what the process involves. I definitely wouldn't say that it's a plug and play, as getting everything to function properly will take some effort for a non-experienced installer. Please let us know if you have any questions and best of luck!
