Default Replace heated seat grids?

I understand I need to replace the lower and upper heated seat grids in my 2000 E320. Anyone have any how-to advice on this? Anyone have any suggestions on places to get the parts (other than from a Merc dealer)? They are about $670 each, I understand.

Thanks,

Greg

I would try all the junk yards in your surrounding area, I needed two doors for an s class and found them 4 hours away. I called every salvage yard using www.switchboard.com to retrieve all the phone numbers.
They also recommended me to europeen only yards. I found mine at weber 1800 222 2528.

Did you test them with an ohm-meter?

I didn't test them, but the dealer apparently did. I can do another check myself and will do it.

The reason I ask is it is very uncommon for both heaters to go in one seat at the same time.
Usually it is just the bottom.
Does your led indicate heat circuit ON????

Yes,

The seat heater LED on the dash switch illuminates when I turn it on.

Thanks
