Alright, calling all ECU upgrade aficianados. I'm stuck between the RENNTECHor SuperChips ECU Upgrade. Looking for any experience with either. My MB Dealer who does RENNTECH says that after the ECU is upgraded they still have to "Version Code" it to the car to make it work properly, i.e. diagnostics, service reminders, suspension, etc... but the PowerChips Rep says when I get it back from them it's a straight plug and play deal, no additional work is required?????? I talked to one guy who has done the PC upgrade and says he hasn't had any problems at all since he upgraded and I know RENNTECH is "THE" company for MB upgrades, so please share some experiences.

 

If you are to do only an ecu upgrade - flash new software -then you should be good to go directly after the flash -the only work after is ONLY clearing out any possible error codes in the ecu.
Depending on where you are located, one of our dealers would do this while you drink a soda [8D]

I'm in the midwest, Kansas to be exact. I'm upgrading ECU, wheels/tires, suspension, sway bars, and lights.

OK, sorry to say that we don't have any dealer in Kansas at all
What you could do though, is to grab the ecu out and send out to our main distributor in USA - Neuspeed.com in California. They may flash our new software directly into the ecu at a much lower rate than some others on the market. Let me know if you are interested, and I will set it up for you.
