I have a mercedes C220 CDI and the engine won't crank unless i keep the key on for almost a minute making pressure .

Anyone can help?

Were you able to solve your problem? I have a 1989 C280 which is giving me staring problems. It won't start when I put in key. Battery and all seems strong, it tries cranking, but just spins. Happened last week, and eventually after leaving alone for a hour or two, it then starts. How did you resolve your staring problem. I'm desparate! Don't know what to do.
