Hi. I'm a potential buyer of an entry level C300. Coincidently I feel it's an entry into the world of Mercedes automobile. I'm sure you can understand a little reluctance in asking questions here becuase they may be biased towards the company of course.

Basically I'm concerned with all the news and stories I hear about the mechanical problems of their cars. Of course with more added bells and whistles, comes more things that can go wrong. The navigation screen for instance; How it is motorized and rises out from under the flap on the dashboard. All I can think about is a year or two from now it's broken and not covered under warranty and having to shell out money for it.
How about the *** used to control the navigation and the screen. It seems comparible to BMW's iDrive recieved a lot of complaints when it debuted in the 8 series if I'm not mistaken.

Of course I expect response to be biased.However, I'm also leaning towards Mercedes anyways. All I ask is responses and experiences be objective.
